Assessment by routine morphometric analysis found no geographic variation in the Regent Honeyeater
Xanthomyza phrygia but distinguished significant sexual dimorphism in size. intensity of plumage
colour and extent of warty skin on the face. Seasonal distribution of records indicates that coastal
south-eastern Australia forms part of the core breeding range of the species.
