Observations on Beach Thick-knees breeding at Red Rock on the N.S.W. north coast
are presented. Plumage details of juvenile and adult birds are discussed and measurements
of juveniles included. Eleven breeding attempts were observed and the details of these
are tabulated. Breeding success was affected by both natural phenomena and human
activity. Other aspects of breeding activity and behaviour are presented.
