This paper describes capture, marking and radio-tracking techniques for the Southern Boobook
Ninox
novaeseelandiae in Australasia. Techniques outlined include the use of taped calls and mist-nets, colour bands
and reflective tape, handling and attachment of radio transmitters using harnesses.
