Measurements of the wing, tail, tarsus and culmen of the Noisy Pitta
Pitta versicolor show no
sexual dimorphism but significant latitudinal increases, southwards from Cape York Peninsula. This
follows Bergmann's Rule. These geographic differences, and the lack of any seasonal differences,
suggest that there is no extensive north-south movement of Noisy Pittas in the southern parts of their
range.
